Microsoft Office Project Professional 2007 is an Office application. The purpose of the Project Professional is to manage the project in an appropriate way. The product was designed and developed by the Microsoft. This is developed for the project manager that need to develop the application by collaborating with the team. The application tasks are divided, then assign to each team member, the time frame for each task is noted that help the manager to complete the project in time.

The Microsoft Project 2007 has features like dividing the tasks and represent each task with the graphical representation, the start time, date and the end time, the date is mentioned on each task. Also, each task can be assigned to the specific team member and the detail mentioned on the task that you like to insert. This is Gantt Chart Tool representation of the tasks. The menus are same as the Microsoft office with some other different features in the menu. Some of the menus are File, Task, Resource, Project, View, Team and format.

In resource menu the, can assign the resource to the specific task and mention the level of resource. In the Project menu the project information, links between the project’s properties, Work Break down Structure, status date, Reports are mentioned. In the View menu the Gantt chart, calendar, sorting, Resource usage, and Macros are mentioned. The Team menu is the one that has the choose team project, team project portal, configure server connection, links and attachments are mentioned. Some more features are also listed that can be easily viewed and understand.

This tool helps the project manager to monitor the progress of the project. The delay issue of the project if occurs can easily be identified. This tool also manages the finance reports of the project and reports. There are also a number of templates for basic projects to start with. The reports of the projects can be sent easily to the other members of the team and share the progress.
